Lexus has been honoured for the quality of both its products and its services in the 2024 Scottish Car of the Year Awards. At a presentation ceremony in Edinburgh yesterday, the Lexus LBX was named the Small Crossover/SUV of the Year. Lexus also received the Aftersales Award for excellence in customer service. The development of InstaVolt’s Electric Vehicle (EV) ultra-rapid charging superhub at Three Maids Hill, Winchester, has reached a significant milestone, with the asphalt layer now complete across the site. Designed to be permeable, this asphalt layers allows rainwater to pass through, reducing surface runoff and supporting the site’s overall sustainability efforts by aiding natural water drainage – minimising impact on the environment. Vauxhall has announced revised pricing on New Grandland Electric, with savings of up to £4,700. Design and GS models are both now priced under £40,000, resulting in significant VED, or ‘road tax’, savings. Prices for New Grandland Electric now start from £37,345 in Design trim, representing a saving of £3,650. GS is priced at £38,495 (saving £4,650), while Ultimate trim sees the largest reduction of £4,700 with a new OTR price of £40,495.
